I can't improve on hike 3-19 in A Walk in the Park, pg. 72-3, 10th Edition.
I rate this hike an "A+" rating. It offers climbing challenge and incredible views for extended periods of the hike. If I were to have to choose one 2 to 4 hour hike that gives the best of Acadia, this is it.
